Yarn Print 30x30cm

This is a yarn painting measuring 30cmx30cm. The cuandero, the shaman, depicts visions he sees while on the hallucinogenic cactus peyote. These vibrant and rich yarn prints are created using spun yarn with each piece sometimes taking months to complete. A print 30cmx30cm will take approximately a week to complete. The yarn is laid painstakingly piece by piece onto a wood base covered in beeswax. No design is preconceived and all are unique.
